Original Sin

The notion of original sin is one that Islam emphatically denies, affirming that every human being comes into the world innocent and sinless. One need only look into the eyes of a new born child to to validate the truth of this statement. Accordingly, he will be held accountable only for what he inscribes upon the unblemished slate of his soul, and not for what his ancestor, Adam (or anyone else) did or did not do. For each individual is responsible only for his own actions, beliefs, and intentions.

Neither sin nor righteousness are hereditory characteristics that can be transferred from one person to another, or which are is inherent in the blood or the "nature" of human beings. The Qur’an emphasizes this again and again:

"No soul earns anything but against itself, and no bearer of burdens shall bear the burden of another." (6:164)

"…that no burdened one shall bear another’s burden, and that man will have only that fir which he makes an effort, and that his effort will be seen, and that afterwards he will be repaid for it with fullest repayment, and that verily, to thy Lord is the goal." (53:38-42)
"And fear a Day when no soul will avail another in anything, nor will inter-cession profit it, nor will anyone be helped." (2:123)

It is both unreasonable and inappropriate with the Beneficience and Mercy of Allah that He should require blood sacrifice to forgive sins. Allah is willing and able to forgive the sins of those who turn to him in earnestness, with a contrite heart; and who totally and trully repent for their sins and misdeeds. Allah is the Creator of Humanity along with the entire existence. It is therefore, not fitting, appropriate, or neccesary for an innocent person to suffer and die for the guilty so that sins can be expunged or forgiven. Allah forgives whom He wills when He wills.

The blood of sacrificial creatures does not reach Him. The spilling of innocent blood or the torment of the guiltless, carries no intrinsic value as it pertains to the conscious misdeeds and polluted hearts of the guilty.

To advocate or to adhere to a theory that Allah took on the flesh of a human being and allowed Himself to be tortured, humiliated, and murdered is contrary to the majesty and the justice of Allah.
