American imperialism is the problem, not merely Bush’s neo-conservatism"The growing pressure on Bush owes more to the fact that his policies in Iraq are failing than any genuine realisation that the US should not have been in Iraq in the first place. It is not the ever-increasing revelations of the lies that US politicians told to justify their war that has brought this pressure on them, but the fact that their policies in Iraq are failing. The problem that the neo-conservatives have is that they cannot earn a reputation for dishonesty in one area and then expect to be believed in others, or at least not for long. Having taken the US into Iraq on blatantly false pretenses, Bush was always likely to have trouble persuading Americans that all was going well there in the face of the evidence before their eyes." |

Green Party's Kevin Zeese Has New ApproachOn Dec. 14, 2005, the Green Party candidate for the U.S. Senate in MD, Kevin Zeese, ripped into President Bush calling his Annapolis speech, “filled with lies!” He also demanded the U.S. get out of Iraq and admit it’s a “failed policy.” He labeled the Military-Industrial Complex, the “greatest threat to our country.” Zeese also wants a “Single Payer” health care system, a “share the wealth” economy and a fair and balanced Middle East policy. |

The Negotiated Exit Strategy from Iraq; at what cost?"For Bush to save face, he needs an umbrella for his redeployment. Murtha and others like him, including the anti-war movement would be used as his domestic smoke screen and would be the ones to take the fall for lack of support for the troops, while requests by his Shiite allies in Iraq for withdrawal would be the legal umbrella he actually needs." |

We have stories to tell"While stories of injustice will continue to be told, words will never convey the true effect that this monstrous wall has inflicted upon Bethlehem. I often wonder what more can be done for the world to realize that walls will in no way bring peace but rather destroy it." |

Fateh to Compete with Two Slates: The Countdown to National Elections Begins"The fragmentation within Fateh may have a negative affect on its performance in the upcoming election. With polls revealing that Palestinian want an end to anarchy and chaos, Fateh’s internal deterioration could sway the undecided votes away from Fateh." |

Would Israel Conquer the Islamic World?"...the view which Israel used to rely on – that the road to Washington passes via Israel. What any Arab or Muslim country can do now to win American support is to back the American anti-terrorism policy. This is the very thing the USA needs now. If Sharon achieved some progress in the Islamic world by withdrawing from Gaza, many doubts still surround his measures taken after the withdrawal." |
