To become an occupier

"No international relationship has been more untouchable in the politics of American foreign policy than the US-Israeli alliance. For decades, the brute power of the pro-Israel “lobby” has had Congress in the palm of its hand, ready to override virtually any presidential initiative not favored by Israel."

Politics of the Volcker Report on the Oil-for-Food Program

"The Volcker report is completely silent over the role of these agents who had been deliberately deployed to twist the whole objective of providing humanitarian needs against the sale of the oil by the UN."

Off with his head!

"In absolute fairness, Iran should be put before the UN to address any charge. Israel can debate its neighbor side-by-side, face-to-face, equal time. Israel can then tell us why it contravenes scores of UN Resolutions, extra-judicially assassinates political leaders, and has hundreds of nuclear weapons it refuses acknowledge let alone account for."

Surveillance Society

"Communism in Eastern Bloc nations failed because so many societal resources were wasted on control, leaving few available for individual initiative and creativity. Liberty and privacy make people happy, creative, productive, and rich. The U.S. government—and the businesses and non-profit groups that are following the “control-oriented” social norms fostered by government action—should take heed and let freedom ring."

The Israeli astronaut who died in the Challenger accident testifies to the intimate involvement of Israel in the most guarded parts of the American military, where even European countries are excluded. In fact, Israel has just taken delivery of advanced F-16s and helicopter gunships that have been denied Europe."

Dousing the Plame Flames

"...Fitzgerald’s investigation has enlightened the public on the role of Judith Miller, Arthur Sulzberger, Lewis Libby and the White House Iraq Group. But the real prize out there is Douglas Feith – the designated neo-con cherry picker responsible for systematically corrupting pre-war intelligence. An investigation of the Office of Special Plans will focus attention on his central role in orchestrating and coordinating the propaganda campaign that duped the American people. Fitzgerald has no mandate to investigate Feith. But your Senator does. If every concerned citizen would just pick up the phone and demand that their elected representatives provide answers about the OSP – we will be that much closer to understanding how and why we got into this war and that much closer to ending our military misadventures in Iraq."

Opportunity Knocks for the Green Party

President George W. Bush’s approval numbers are falling faster than the values of Ken Lay’s Enron stock. Nationwide, Bush is at 39 percent, while in Maryland, he has dipped further to 33 percent. As Bush’s goes, so goes the GOP. It’s time for the Green Party to make its move. The Democrats are part of the corrupt Two-Party duopoly. The country needs an alternative. In MD, Kevin Zeese is running as a Green Party candidate for the U.S. Senate.
